It Truly Does Start Here.

Trinity Health's COVID-19 vaccine effort, "It Starts Here," brings together, community engagement strategies and social media influencers. The coordinated effort initially included $1.1M in grant funding to support community engagement strategies and an additional $500K toward a social media campaign to improve access to COVID-19 vaccination information by engaging social media influencers who represent the culture and ethnicity of our communities.

An additional $1M now supports new and ongoing community engagement and mobilization efforts around making the COVID-19 vaccination accessible to all eligible populations, especially communities that have less than 75% vaccination rate.

"Vaccinating our communities against COVID-19 will be one of the greatest achievements in modern public health," said Michael Slubowski, president and CEO of Trinity Health. "Our primary goal with this campaign has been, and will continue to be, to dispel myths and rumors by leaning on the science and facts of the vaccines' safety and effectiveness."

From February through July, 2021, Trinity Health's, It Starts Here efforts, reached nearly 675,000 people through community engagement outreach and reached 3.5 million through social media. Additionally, we've held nearly 700 events, and administered more than 166,000 COVID-19 doses. And we're still going strong.
